The legend of defeat of Semiramis, the Assyrian Queen by Indian King Stereobates in Indian history
In ancient legends is described the attack by Semiramis, a legendary Assyrian queen and her attempts to conquer India much before Alexander. And how with a tremendous army and camels she crossed the Indus river to be faced by who those texts call Stereobates, an Indian king with a large army and tremendous war elephants. And the Assyrian army was routed by the Indians at the river Indus and queen Semiramis barely escaped, badly injured with her life, utterly defeated.
